Leaving The Toxic Hustle Culture Behind

You have seen the cute “hustle” merchandise. The T-shirts. The mugs. The daily planners. There seems to be gold-lettered swag everywhere telling you to do more, be more, and “hustle harder.” Hustle has become an everyday word for the modern person who wants more out of life. But as appealing as it is to today’s entrepreneurs and professionals, it inevitably leads to burnout and resentment.

In Pivot to Purpose, Kristen invites you into the journey of exchanging the hustle cycle for a heart posture of abundance and service. She tackles why the hustle culture is one of the most toxic and detrimental ideologies that is preached today and debunks the myth that it’s the only way to achieve success.

This book empowers you to work your business and live your life differently, without sacrificing the impact you desire to have on the world. Authentic, lasting success requires you to leave the hustle behind—and Pivot to Purpose!
I have read a number of books for self improvement, all with similar messages. This book and it’s message seem like it’s a reflection of my own experiences. Kristen Boss does a great job of shedding light on issues so many have experienced or are going through. She doesn’t sugar cost anything, but instead is relatable and insightful. Love love love this book! I will definitely be reading it AGAIN and highly recommend!!

I was very excited to get this book to help me to better understand how to move forward in my business in a healthy, stable way. Little did I know...this is more than a book for social selling! It has literally touched every aspect of my life! I have called my sister, almost in tears, to read her passages that affected me so much, and she isn’t even in the industry! This book will help you understand how toxic hustle culture really is and how it affects your business, you parenting, your relationships, your self-image, your view of what is going on around you.....literally everything! I HIGHLY recommend it!

If you are an entrepreneur of any kind, especially if you're in Social Selling, you need to read this book. Kristen is truly making a way for authentic social selling without the hustle and the systemic burnout that a lot of people and companies perpetuate. Be prepared to laugh, ball your eyes out at times, feel uncomfortable and called out, and ultimately experience life changing moments. It's like she's reading your mind or your journal. Plus in the first chapter, she quotes Notorious BIG, Britney Spears and Top Gun... If that's not the makings of a good book I don't know what is!
