Kristen Boss (00:03):  You’re listening to the Kristen Boss Podcast. I’m your host, Kristen Boss. As a bestselling author and performance coach, I’m on a mission to share about sustainable and purposeful approaches to both business and life. Kristen Boss (00:56):  Hey, bosses. Welcome to another episode of the podcast. Today is going to be a little bit different. The last six months has been six months of preparation and readying myself, my company, my team, and you guys for the next big thing. I’ve been talking a lot about how I’ve made changes to my business and how I decided to retire my sixth and seven figure earner Mastermind. And I just announced today at the time of recording this because I’m doing a real fast turnaround with my podcast. At the time of recording this I just now announced the big thing. I announced what I’ve been working on for so long and what I’m launching for social sellers and the Rising Leader webinar that I did. We had over, I mean probably 11,500 registrants and it’s still climbing even as I’m recording this even getting access to the replay.

Kristen Boss (01:53):  We had over 3,100 people watching live in the moment and for this rising leader training that I gave today. And it was a really powerful hour of training that I gave. And if you haven’t registered or you missed it, you can head to the link in my show notes and we can you’ll probably get access to the replay. But this idea of leadership, there is something when you’ve hit something good, when the industry responds in such a strong way. And just to give you some context, and I shared a little bit about this at the training, but my company usually when we’re doing a big event, doing a big training, my three days usually we are putting a significant amount of money into advertising to ensure we’re getting in front of enough eyes and to hit an attendance goal. And this event, when I announced and talked about a leadership specific training event, and we put in a lot of time and attention into marketing it, talking about it, it was the fastest organic growth event I have ever done.

Kristen Boss (03:10):  We’ve spent the least amount of ads and we got the fastest amount of registrants and the least amount of time, so to speak, so much so that my team, we were like, this is evidence of the immense felt need for leadership to learn the tools of leadership, to learn the concepts of leadership and the social selling industry. Like the industry was screaming at me loud and clear, yes, please help us, please give us, please give us these tools. We are desperate. We need it. And so when you have the word of mouth that’s spreading and exploding like this, it is because there’s a felt need. And so today I gave that live training. At the end, I finally announced what was coming next, and it is my two-day Rising Leader Summit. It’s an in-person event. I’ve been wanting to do an in-person event for so long, and I launched the academy in the height of 2020 during covid and events just weren’t possible.

Kristen Boss (04:16): And then it was still kind of sticky doing events. And I’ve been working on a lot of things. And I thought, man, wouldn’t it be something to get this community that I’ve been speaking to for the past three and a half, four years, getting them all in a room together and teaching them the concepts of leadership that I have been teaching exclusively to six and seven figure earners for the past three and a half years. When I decided to let go of the Mastermind, it was hard. It was painful because it was something that was good. And it was when I was in Chicago and one of my alumni members just looked over to me and she said, Kristen, this material is so significant and so profound, it can’t stay in this room. We need to get it to more people. And she said, but the biggest barrier is not everyone, even people that have the money, not everyone is going to see the value or want to spend 10, $20,000 to have access to this mastermind.

Kristen Boss (05:14):  She’s like, there are so many people on my team and in my organization that desperately, desperately need this, but they would never pay to be here. And she’s like, how can we help that because it can’t stay here. And so much so that several le of the leaders in Chicago said that the training I give and the concepts I teach and the retreat that they have with me in that in-person event, they say it is the single most important event that they look forward to attending every year, more than their conventions, more than their retreats to Hawaii, more than their leadership trainings. They’re like, this is the only space where I truly get poured into and get the training that I desperately want and need. And so before this, the only way that you could have access to that training would be to be in the mastermind and be a six and seven figure earner.

Kristen Boss (06:05):  Or you would have to wait until your company hired me as a keynote speaker and I’d come and speak for maybe an hour, but I would be limited on what I could talk about based on what the company needed me to focus on. But it would only be an hour. So there would be, so it was a huge contrast between, okay, we either get one hour with her at a keynote and she’s kind of talking about what the company wants her to talk about, or I have to be a six or seven figure earner and pay $20,000 to have access to being in this exclusive and elite mastermind. And honestly, one of my core values in the company is inclusivity and accessibility. And I realized in promoting and having this elite exclusive mastermind that cost so much, I realized that I was inadvertently creating a pay to play culture.

Kristen Boss (06:55):  I was only making the gap bigger between the leaders who are starting and the leaders who are at the place of being a six and seven figure earner. And in my time coaching my students, I realized that a lot of the stuff we were working on and cleaning up and the areas of focus was things that could have been prevented. There was so much cleanup that we were doing cleanup and healing and cleaning up systems and messes and getting them out of management and helping them respect their time and have boundaries. And I realized what these are skills. We wouldn’t be here cleaning up these messes and having to work so hard and those and need such healing or on the precipice of burnout had these leaders not been introduced to these concepts far earlier in their career. And I would have people message me and say, someday I’m going to be in your mastermind.

Kristen Boss (07:49):  That’s my bucket list. And some people were like, yeah. And then I would just get questions like, Hey, do you have anything for anybody between the academy and the Mastermind? I’m not there yet. I’m making maybe a thousand, 2000 a month, but I’m not even close to making 10,000. And I realized after a lot of reflection, I’m like, hold on. The reason why someone who’s making $2,000 a month isn’t making $10,000 a month is the skills and concepts that I’m teaching at the six and seven Figure Earner Mastermind. I’m like, wait, hold on. This doesn’t even make sense. I have to break this down. And so I had a moment where I was like, oh man, but I love this intimate setting where I’m serving these 20 and 30 women at a time and in depth in their business and teaching them these concepts. And I realized that it was actually serving the few in a exclusive setting kept me from serving the masses, from serving the mini and realizing how many people needed those tools far earlier.

Kristen Boss (08:52):  And so that’s when I realized what the Mastermind, it was good, but we have to burn it down. And then it’s now the season of great. Now it’s about how can I create more leaders and how can I get more people to that level? And I realized we have to start this sooner. And so this event was birthed out of that. It was like, let’s do an in-person event. Let’s do this live event. And I have all these concepts, all this training. I’m used to putting on an event every six months for the six and seven figure earners. What if I was to compile this material in a way that’s approachable for social sellers at all leadership levels and do an immersive two-day training event that feels like, that’s not like a convention, doesn’t feel corporatey but feels like an immersive transformational experience that I know I can provide.

Kristen Boss (09:43):  And that’s when I was like, that’s it. We’re going to do the Rising Leader Summit and we booked the hotel in the fall and only six months in advance and a leadership an event at this scale, typically you need a year to plan. And we’re doing this in less than six months. I’m like, this is what we need to do. And when I was thinking about a good time for leaders, I was thinking about everyone’s incentives, trips and corporate trainings and retreats and Mother’s Day and summer and spring break. And I was like, this is when it has to be.

Kristen Boss (10:16):  So I knew, I was like, we got to do this. And originally we had booked a room for 500 spots and then when we announced the Rising Leader webinar and we had literally thousands of of people, I think we had 3000 people sign up for the webinar the first day we announced it and we’re like, oh, dang, this is big. This people, this people are desperate for this. And so I’m like, we’re going to need a bigger room. There’s no way we’re going to sell this out. So we’re just like, let’s go. Let’s do it. So my team has been in deep in preparation. We’re all like, wow. We’re like, we’re having to learn skills that the company hasn’t had to learn before because we’re throwing on an event at such a large scale. So the Rising Leader Summit is the leadership experience that you desperately need to close that gap.

Kristen Boss (11:06):  I’m going to be teaching about systems and onboarding and how to step out of management and into proactive leadership, how to leverage your time, your energy or your EF and your efforts so that you can go further, faster, actually how to outsource and delegate and automate. We’re going to be talking about those things. When do you hire your first va? What’s going on there? We’re going to talk about how to become a self-aware leader and how to lead people through the lens of self-awareness and also understanding becoming a person so that you are leading well, so that you’re not saying something that paralyzes somebody for weeks at a time. You not realizing that you inadvertently caused them to go in a fight flight response when you were giving some business advice for how to show up better. So it is going to be a two day, two days that you will hands down say that has by far been the best in-person event I could have gone to.

Kristen Boss (12:08):  And we are offering virtual, I’m going to say this, we do have virtual attendance like a live streaming option. And our VIP actually at this point of recording, I’ll be surprised if by the time we announce this, if we have any VIP spots left because in the first 24 minutes of announcing the Rising Leader Summit and the tickets going live, our system crashed twice. Half of our VIP tickets sold out. We had, I mean, it was chaos. I was like, it feels like Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster. I’m like, I’m having my T Swift moment that I always wanted, but it was bananas. And so every the VIP and the general and the virtual, everybody gets access to the replay for one year following the event. So here’s what I’m going to say. If you are thinking like, dang, I’m totally going to go virtual to, here’s what I want to want to want to say about that.

Kristen Boss (13:04):  If you’re like, I’m going to do virtual, I would only recommend you do virtual if you literally, it is physically impossible for you to get to the event, I mean physically impossible. You are in another country, you are a solo parent and no one can watch your kids while you’re gone. I want you to make it your absolute priority to be in the room because there is nothing, the energy feeling the energy of the room, there is nothing sitting next to people and choosing transformation. It is unlike any other experience. Am I saying if you can’t be live, don’t go at all. No, I’m not saying that. But I am saying if you are on the fence of, if it’s an investment decision between staying home or getting to Denver and doing the flight, you are 1000% worth the investment and the experience. And if you’ve done my three day events, if you’re in the academy, I’m about the overdeliver experience.

Kristen Boss (14:07):  I’m going to do the same thing with this event. And it’s kind of funny, when we announced the price, I think people, they’re floor their draws on the floor because they’re like, wait, hold on. She used to sell this for 20,000. She’s now lowering the paywall and opening up to the masses. And I think a lot of people were thinking, okay, this is going to be a thousand dollars event, maybe $2,000 event. Whew, okay, I’m going to have to get ready to talk to my husband. And then when I announced that general admission is two ninety nine, two hundred and ninety dollar and the VIP was 499 and the virtual attendance was 199, people lost their mind. It’s why the internet broke. They’re like, I told people, I’m like, I want you to feel like you are robbing from me. You feel like you are coming out ahead because this experience is going to be that transformational.

Kristen Boss (14:53):  So even if you’re like, oh, maybe I should be home, I’d be like, if you are able get your butt on a plane, book the ticket, book the hotel room, get to Denver, and I say this because that has been me. My life changes when I leave my normal environment and I immerse myself in a different environment because it challenges your thinking. If you are going to do the virtual attendance live streaming event and you literally physically cannot get there, then I would encourage you to get an Airbnb book, a house with all of your teammates if they can’t make it. But I want you to put yourself in an environment that is outside your normal environment. Because if you try and do this virtual streaming while you’re doing laundry and cooking dinner and you’re having to be mom or spouse or working, you’re not going to get the experience.

Kristen Boss (15:42):  I know you want, give yourself a completely distraction free experience where you can fully immerse yourself in. But I’m going to encourage you choose the in-person event. The tickets are going to sell out. People did ask, if I buy the general and I decide I can’t go, can I downgrade to virtual? It’s like, no. Once you buy the ticket, your in-person ticket, that is a seat taken. If for something should happen, you need to find somebody else who will buy your ticket. We have unlimited virtual spots, but we, the room is limited to a thousand spots. That is the capacity. And at this point in time, we are, I’ve only announced this less than two hours ago and we’re 35, 40% capacity. So you need to get, go to This might be some of the best work I’ve ever done, is what I’m going to be bringing to this event.

Kristen Boss (16:39):  And the thought that I’m putting into it and what I’m going to be bringing to you is truly worth, I literally am bringing you $20,000 of value at such an accessible price and experience. So this episode’s a little bit different, but this is a huge thing. So it’s like I’m going to take the episode to really talk about where we’re going and what we’re doing. And hey, maybe you’re like, I am not a social seller. I was not expecting this for a podcast episode while you just got a free training on selling and storytelling and presenting, because that’s really what this is. So I am so excited you guys about this year and what I have been working on quietly for what feels like a long time. And there will be another reveal at the live event. And you want to be at the live event for that.

Kristen Boss (17:27):  You want to be in the room. First of all, I want to see you. I want to see all your faces. It’s always a bummer when I’m seeing fractions of people in companies where I’m like, some of them know of me, some don’t. But if you have been in this community for a while, I would just so love to experience being in a room packed, filled with people who understand the joke, calm your butt down, who have been in this and want to see this. Do want us to do it differently? And that is the experience I want. I want people to feel like it is the single most impactful in-person event that they have ever attended in their business. That is my goal. And I will tell you, I’m a goal getter and I know how to hit my goals, and my goal is you walking out of that event and saying, hands down, that is the best investment I’ve ever made. So don’t wait.
